Blue Bears has been canceled for the 2022 season. We look forward to welcoming you back to competitions at our next swim meet.
Please note that any information below regarding Blue Bears is based on the health restrictions and sanctioning rules at this time. Everything is subject to change, pending any further developments with Covid-19 infection and hospitalization rates and especially any further restrictions from AHS or Alberta Health.
The Blue Bears Invitational will fall under an updated set of sanctioning rules from Swim Alberta - 11 & unders are now allowed to take part in multi-club competitions without any documentation. With this, we are able to return to another one of the exciting formats in competitive swimming: heats and finals!
Blue Bears will be our first competition since the start of the pandemic to offer heats and finals. For those new to the sport, this means that all competitors will race (similar to Candy Cane) in a heats session, and then the top swimmers from each age group will return in the evening for a top 8 final!
We are once again adapting the meet information for Blue Bears to the most recent Swim Alberta and AHS requirements. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
This competition is for all Keyano groups, however Bronze swimmers should always check with their coach prior to entering their first swim meet. :)
NOTE: Because of the timing of this event, sign up will be over the Christmas holidays. Please check your family plans and complete your sign up as soon as you see it. The sign up deadline will be January 4, right when the kids return to school.
