- Please sign up based on your current group placement.
- Swimmers may move up during the summer, either over the course of a week or as the season progresses.
For New Swimmers:
- We welcome non-Keyano swimmers to join!
- Choose a group according to the following:
- Bronze - must be able to complete 2 lengths of the pool swimming unassisted. This is a mandatory safety rule for all Keyano groups.
- Silver - must be proficient in all 4 competitive swimming strokes.
- Gold - should either be at or near Alberta Festival standard and have prior competitive experience.
- If you are unsure between two groups, please register in the lower group. Every Monday morning we will assess and place swimmers in the optimal group. (It is much easier to move swimmers up, than down during the camp).
- If you have any questions regarding group placement, please contact Matt Bowkowy at mbowkowy@eksc.com.
About Keyano Summer Swim Camps:
- Duration: Each session is 1 week long with a focus on a specific theme of the day. This allows us to cover all major strokes and swimming skills throughout the week.
- Progress Reports: Swimmers will receive a report at the end of each week, including a Keyano group placement for the 2025-26 season. It’s a great way to get a feel for the Keyano Swim Club program and get the best possible assessment for fall placements.
- Group Placement: Swimmers are grouped by experience level first, then by age within their training group.
- Flexibility: The experience levels of swimmers can vary greatly week-to-week. We may move swimmers up or down a level to keep groups cohesive and provide the best experience for everyone.
*Rain or Shine!
- Camps will continue, rain or shine! In the event of extreme weather (such as lightning or cold temperatures), the outdoor pool may close, but we will move the camp indoors as a backup.
*Weather Cancellations:
- If any camp days are cancelled due to weather or pool closures, we will offer a 100% refund for those missed days. We’ll do everything we can to run each camp day, but sometimes circumstances outside our control (like pool closures by the City of Edmonton) may cause changes.
- New to Keyano? Contact Lindsey at office@eksc.com for help with registration and selecting the best level for your camp.
- Returning member? Contact Coach Matt at mbowkowy@eksc.com. Your camp group should match your club group.
- Billing questions? Contact Chris at generalmanager@eksc.com.
