Olympic & Paralympic Trials - DAY 4 Recap

Another medal and seven more Top 20 Keyano performances on Day 4!
 
Reid Maxwell added a Silver and another Para Record on Thursday, while Keyano racked up its most top 20 finishes in a single day of these Canadian Trials!
 
And, on a note of Canadiana, Toronto swimmer Summer Macintosh set a new World Record in the women's 400m IM by more 1.5 seconds... Watch out for Canada this summer - Summer Mcintosh may be leading the Olympic medal charge for the world, not just for Canada.

On to the day's Keyano recap:
 
Women's 400 IM
Olivia Brendzan qualified for the Senior B Final with a strong preliminaries and finished 12th overall in a time of 4:57.56. Eleaunah Phillips qualified for the Junior Final and won it! Her time of 4:53.86 was a big new best time and got for the 5th-placed Junior overall. 
 
Women's 200 Back
El Phillips was right back up after her big 400 IM after equaling her best time in the preliminaries to qualify for the B Final. We'll share her impressive prelims time here of 2:19.74... in the Finals the 200 Back happens to fall with only 6 minutes between the 400 IM Junior Final and the 200 Backstroke B Final, so we have to give a big thumbs up to Eleaunah for swimming back-to-back races and finishing in 20th place for the 200 Backstroke!
 
Men's 100 Free Para
Reid Maxwell struck a new medal colour in the 100 freestyle earning a  Silver medal  in a time of 1:00.23. His time is once again a new Canadian Record for his S8 para-swimming category. 
 
Men's 800 Free
Diego Paz led Keyano's distance freestyle men in th e 800 Freestyle with a time of 8:21.68 and finishing in 13th place. Zackary Bowie matched his previous best and improved his pre-trials ranking in a time of 8:33.47 for the 14th-placed Junior. Andrew Chilton swam a 5-second best time of 8:34.06 for the 16th-placed Junor.
