Bear Champs is an all-Keyano end-of-season finale event for all Keyano swimmers. This is the final team Wednesday practice of the season and we are taking advantage of the PD Day to get as many swimmers into the pool at 3:00pm as we can (while still welcoming swimmers at any point in the afternoon's event).

After the sign-up deadline, 4 lead coaches will be making 4 teams (Blue, Red, Polar and Grizzly) for a fun mini-meet. Events will either be 25m or 50m in length; exact format is TBC based on the number of swimmers who sign-up. Each team will have an approximately even number of swimmers from every age and group in the club, fron Bronze to Sr National - we have some amazing role models in the club who are going to put on a real show for our youngest club members, racing and cheering for each other in a made-for-fun event.

Don't forget, we are also giving out awards after the Mini-Meet!
Even if you cannot attend the Mini-Meet, you are welcome to join us around 6:30-6:45pm in Kinsmen Park (by the Grizzly Playground) for treats and trophies. All Festival swimmers will be receiving a trophy as well as a top performer and most improved award for every development group in the club. Cheer for your teammates and finish the season with a fun afternoon of racing and awards. :)

Note: The final day of swimming is Friday, June 23 - the last 2 days at your home pool will be for fun / games with your home pool groupmates.

Note: All development swimmers qualified and participating in competitions after June 24 (like EKI, Provincials or AB Summer Games) will be moving to a combined training time at the Kinsmen Sports Centre (schedule to come shortly).
