Octoberfest Swim Meet

 

 

10:00am Warm-ups (on deck at 9:40am)

11:00am Racing

3:30pm approximate finish

 

This meet is designated for all Silver and above swimmers who have previously competed in a competition or have been otherwise approved / encouraged by their coach to attend (this may also apply to a small number of Bronze swimmers with previous experience racing). Please ask your coach for more information and instructions about your readiness for Octoberfest.

 

Swimmers will compete in all 4 x 50m stroke events and rankings in age groups (from 10&under, 11yo, 12yo...) will be ranked with the top 8 qualifying for a 100m IM Final! 

 

The main purpose of this event is to get our first races under our belt for the season in a quick 1-session competition. Only a few other local teams are invited to participate keeping the competition low-key and fun for all. All eligible swimmers are encouraged to sign up! :)

 

This is a Keyano-hosted event and we will be looking for volunteers for a variety of position at this meet. This is an easy meet to begin volunteering if you are new to this sort of thing, so we really encourage those parents of newer swimmers to volunteer here.

 

A separate email will come with directions to sign up for officials positions this week. This blurb is just to help new parents understand their next steps. :)
