Hello Bronze, Silver, Gold and JP families,
You are invited to join us at the Victoria Park Oval from 12-2pm on Sun Jan 7, 2023.
I regret to inform you that the launchpad event scheduled for Saturday January 7th has been canceled. As we all know there is an element of risk at these trampoline parks and this is not the time of year to organize an activity of that nature.
We have replaced this event with an alternative activity. We hope to plan 1 or 2 other social events for this age group but I also wanted to take this opportunity to clarify that club wide developmental social events will be parent supervised and just facilitated by the club and as such families will always be invited to attend.
As a separate event we are encouraging families to come out to the Victoria Skating oval on Saturday January 7th instead. It would be great to see our swim families explore the frozen water at the oval and if you need to warm up or wish to roast a marshmallow or hot dog the coaches will do their best to have a fire going. However since it is winter season, all but one of the sites are on a first come first serve basis and the one available to book is not very big. The goal is to get picnic site 5 which is on the North side of the oval and very close to the skating area. People are encouraged to bring their own food and sticks to roast but coach Matt will have a limited number of roasting sticks he is willing to share as well as some extra marshmallows for you to have at your own risk.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter and we hope to see a bunch of Bears and their families embracing mother nature and enjoying one of Edmonton’s great outdoor venues. Hopefully the weather man has better news than he does right now for that day.
